So far, we have witnessed a wonderfully robust conversation on our SLA blog, Twitter, a multitude of list serves and many other platforms.

You have shared your feedback on a variety of alignment related topics, including the future of our organization, how we define ourselves as well as the importance of describing our roles in ways that communicate the sheer value that information professionals provide employers.

Of course, at the top of our minds right now is the potential association name change. Our years of research, focus group sessions and dial testing have underscored a real need to select a name that truly reflects who we are as an organization while simultaneously conveying your individual value to employers and potential employers.

With that, I encourage you to use this platform to continue the alignment conversation. To join the dialog and share your thoughts, log in by choosing the “Contribute to the Conversation” link on the right side of this page.

We look forward to continuing to hear from you!

I am doing something I had not expected weeks ago. I am voting YES on the proposed name.
